Glacier has receded considerably from this level in recent years (now 2014). Lateral moraine seen on left side of glacier marks its maximum thickness at the height of the Little Ice Age, peaking in the 1800's. L-R: Mt. Athabasca, 3442m, 11293'; Mt Andromeda, 3450m, 11319'.
