Description
Winter winds screaming over Mt. Bradley. 13289', 4050m, in the eastern Sierra Nevada, CA, in John Muir Wilderness on the border with Kings Canyon National Park. Temperature on summit, with wind chill factor (60+ MPH) about
-40 to -50 degrees F. Wind driven spindrift snow will find its way into all openings or tiny crevices in clothing or tents. No one who has not experienced such conditions can image how bad it really is. Photo taken March 11, 1991.
