Common kingsnakes intertwined (probably mating), LAMPROPELTIS GETULUS, seen at the Cooper Biological Preserve on Sonoma Mountain, CA, April 1966. These snakes are "good" snakes in the sense that the attack and drive away rattlesnakes. Image taken in 35mm film format.
