Actual crevasse rescue on the Rainbow Glacier on Mt. Baker. At left, Alan Van Buskirk feeds rope down to Larry Annis, who emerges from the crevasse in the image on the right. GLAD TO BE OUT!! Leroy Annis has prussik belays anchored by ice axes, and appears in both images with a red bandana. Full party of six reached the summit of Mt. Baker, 10781', 3286m, the same date. Date was May 5, 1957.
