The great north face of the North Twin, almost 5,000' (about 1500 meters) in height, as seen on 8-12-2002, is one of the most difficult alpine climbs on the continent, and is sometimes referred to as "The Eigerwand of North America". The summit, at 3731m, 12,241', is the third highest in the Canadian Rockies and is located in Jasper National Park on the north edge of the Columbia Icefield. Photo taken with a 4x5 view camera using a polarizer & 400mm Chromar-T lens.
